Welcome to Birmingham Classical
Orchestras have never been so varied and diverse as they are in 2017, and every day contribute something new and valuable to our culture. In this season, and in our plans for beyond, we want to bring cutting edge orchestral practice at its best to Birmingham’s world-class concert halls, as well as exploring how this genre has developed and evolved. From intimate recitals in-the-round and huge international orchestras - to listening to Beethoven in a car park, Town Hall and Symphony Hall are ensuring Birmingham’s classical music ecology remains vibrant, relevant and accessible to as many people as possible.
Birmingham Classical welcomes internationally renowned orchestras, ensembles, conductors and soloists, from artists with established global reputations, to young musicians in the early stages of their own promising careers.
THSH will continue to add events to Birmingham Classical as the year unfolds. Those booking 3+ concerts at a time can enjoy great discounts, but as concerts are added you can enjoy an accumulative discount – a flexible way of ensuring that the more you book, the more you save. In a continuing effort to make classical music in Birmingham accessible, THSH this season will offer 4,000 tickets for £12.50 or less, in addition to a ‘Kids Go Free’ offer and £5 tickets for school groups at every event. Keep in touch by checking the website or the What’s On Classical brochure or sign up to be among the first to know of any new events being announced.
