Birmingham is easily accessible from the M5, M6, M40 and M42.
Follow signs to Birmingham City Centre and then follow the brown tourist signs to the International Convention Centre (ICC) and the Barclaycard Arena (formerly the NIA). Symphony Hall and Town Hall are not featured on road signage.
Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill stations are within easy walking distance of Town Hall and Symphony Hall. Moor Street and Five Ways are slightly further away but still within walking distance.
Birmingham International Airport’s adjacent rail station – Birmingham International – has frequent trains to the city centre.
The Holliday Street (B1 1TQ) and Town Hall (B1 1TA) multi-storey car parks are within walking distance.
The most convenient car park is the Q-Park Brindleyplace (1 Brunswick Street, B1 2JF). Become a THSH Members and enjoy a discount on parking here.
Additional spaces are available in the main pay and display car park underneath the Barclaycard Arena (B1 2AA); the Paradise Circus multi-storey car park (B1 2NB); and the Cambridge Street car parks.
We offer parking and drop-off/collection facilities for Blue Badge holders. This can be arranged from the time of your original booking between 10am – 6pm, Monday to Saturday. Bookings cannot be made on the day of the performance. Subject to availability. Please contact the Box Office on 0121 780 4949 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will need your Blue Badge details, vehicle registration number, concert date, contact name and telephone number.
Please note: Blue Badge parking and drop-off requests are only available 90
minutes in advance of each performance. The facility for Symphony Hall
bookings is manned by the ICC Security team. If there is no Security
member present during this time then please ring the buzzer.
Additional free disabled parking is available on Level 9 of the North Car Park in the Barclaycard Arena.
Please note that due to developments on Centenary Square, disabled parking & drop-off facilities will change from 1 May 2017 - disabled parking will be in Bay B only & drop-off will be at the Cambridge Street roundabout. Until 1 May, facilities are as follows:
Symphony Hall Disabled Parking:
Once booked, Symphony Hall Disabled Parking is located either in KAP or Bay B.
KAP is located between the Symphony Hall (within the ICC) and The Birmingham Repertory Theatre buildings and is accessible from King Edwards Road or Cambridge Street via the KAP barrier.
Bay B is located at the back of the ICC building next to the Prince of Wales Pub and is accessible from Cambridge Street via the gated entrance.
Symphony Hall Disabled drop-off facilities:
Once booked, the Symphony Hall drop-off facility is at KAP, located between the Symphony Hall (within the ICC) and The Birmingham Repertory Theatre buildings and is accessible from King Edwards Road or Cambridge Street via the KAP barrier. Customers can enter via the KAP barrier, drop-off at the main entrance to the building and exit back onto Broad Street.
Symphony Hall Coach drop-off facilities:
Once booked, the Symphony Hall coach drop-off facility is at KAP, located between the Symphony Hall (within the ICC) and The Birmingham Repertory Theatre buildings and is accessible from King Edwards Road or Cambridge Street via the KAP barrier. Coaches can enter via the KAP barrier, drop-off at the main entrance to the building and exit back onto Broad Street.
Town Hall Disabled Parking:
Once booked, Town Hall Disabled Parking is located at the side of the Town Hall. Please visit http://www.paradisebirmingham.co.uk/access/ for further information about the road works and how this may affect your travel.
Town Hall Coach drop-off:
Town Hall does not have a coach drop off facility. The closest road where coaches can drop off is Hill Street.
There is a taxi rank across the road from Symphony Hall outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
For Town Hall, there are taxi ranks on Colmore Row and at the bottom of Hill Street. Taxis travel along Pinfold Street but there is no taxi rank there.
Traffic and parking may be problematic on nights when there are large events happening at the Barclaycard Arena. Check the Travel posts on our News page for updates.
